The Gift of Music
I was on my way to meet my friend after she finished laser hair removal brentwood when I walked past one of the most amazing little guitar shops I have ever seen. The sign said that it was the oldest one in the city, and what I really appreciated is that each of the guitars in the window displayed a price with it. The thing is, they didn’t just have guitars, they had a selection of ukuleles, mandolins, and kids guitars. Being a novice, I couldn’t quite distinguish which one was which but the price range was great. They had something smashing with four strings that was quite small for twenty four pounds. Giving a musical instrument along with lessons makes a great gift for a creative friend, it also makes a fantastic gift for a child that could change their whole life. Everybody should be able to play an instrument of some kind. Guitars can be a bit daunting, but the 4 string ukuleles are really hot at the moment because they are so easy to learn how to play. Another great choice is a drum of some sort. African drums come in all shapes and sizes. There is the fragile talking drum which has strings along the side and is played with a small stick or a variety of Moroccan drums that are affordable and easy to learn how to play. From disastrous experience, I wouldn’t suggest buying a drum for somebody that you are living with, it is no fun listening to somebody learn how to play.
