Gifts for Teacher

June 16th, 2011

Teachers are some of the most hardworking and under-appreciated people in our children’s lives. It is a good idea to get them a gift for special occasions such as the end of the school year, teacher appreciation week or Christmas.

There are several types of gifts that are appropriate to get teachers but make sure to get something that will make the teacher feel appreciated by the child and the parents.

Here are several choices for your child’s beloved teacher:

Hand-prints: Each child in the class should trace their hand-print on construction paper. Then help them cut it out of the paper. Have the students write their names on it so the teacher can remember how her class thought of him/her. This is a great gift to get a kindergarten or preschool teacher.

Hand printed shirt: This can be a gift for teachers'that teach a little higher than kindergarten. This time the children take their hand-print on a white shirt with colored glue, finger paint or fabric markers. They also can sign their name along with the hand-print.

Classroom photo collage: Many times parents or volunteers will have pictures of the students with the teacher. These pictures can be made into a collage and framed. This would be a great gift to give at the end of the year so the teacher can remember this class of students.

Handmade card: These are simple and can be done in a wonderful and creative way. They can create the card with some meaningful words and design. When the child gives this card they should give their teacher a hug.

Teachers'really add to their student’s life. They put fuel in the mind of children like you would need to put Diesel Guildford in your truck. Don’t forget these valuable people and also remind your children to always thank their teachers for the gift of learning.
