It is difficult to find a unique and durable gift for a child. All too often, kids get a pile of low quality toys at birthday parties that they immediately break. Most parents and kids get invited to between 10 and 20 parties a year. High quality toys are often too expensive, so instead of planning ahead, and a few families pitching in to get something that a child wants, parents leave it to the last minute and get something that may look cool on the outside, but won’t stand up to the hard playing that it needs to put up with.When my niece turned five, I really wanted to get her something special, but I knew that she would get tons of presents. I needed to get creative in order to get something that she would become a keep sake. Roller Banners are unconventional gifts, but they offer a serious range of possibilities. A roller banner is a very large pop up sign that is typically used for exhibition displays, but it would be a great addition to any child’s bedroom or play room.You will need a high resolution image and a bit of thought. I chose a great shot of my niece with her grandmother that was taken at the seaside. If you are a whiz at graphic design you can think about doing a photo montage of the child with a favourite character, or a collage of family photos. Whatever way you go, it is sure to be a hit and something that will be cherished.
